So, first thing you should know is that I'm not an anorexic girl trying to starve even more, but rather a recovering bulimic. I'm asking for help with recovery, not to make my ED worse than it is.

Second thing, I'm sorry if a thread like this already exists, I searched and didn't find anything.

Now, the actual question: are there any tricks that I can use to stop myself from binging? Seriously, anything will help. I don't care how whacky and out there it sounds, if it works for you or someone you know, please post it here.

Thank you! Stay lovely <3

just keep your mind of binging and think happy thoughts!

I have EDNOS and I don't have much trouble with binging as much as I do fasting, but I know some tips. If you feel a binge coming on set a 30 minute alarm and you can't eat until the the time is up. Usually, by time the alarm goes off you've forgotten or talked yourself out of it. (That was a good tip that helped me) And if you do binge, binge on fruit. Fruit's yummy so why not? Also, write down your feelings because those can cause a binge. Good luck on your road to recovery.

My number one approach to staying away from binges is to not enable myself to purchase any binge-worthy meals in mass. I can possess a singular serving cookie here if I really sense like it but ONLY well balanced meals get home from the food store!

I get super irritated later later in the day when I really would like a carby snack and all I've is oranges, fruit, tea, beans, and vegetable etc, however it works.

I think of the nastiest things possible.
I do this for about ten minutes, and once that's over, I don't want to eat anything XP
