Yep, I was almost sure they said it would have been almost a year so I was thinking around November. But it's coming out in July and August.

It will be good as long as it has a lot to do in it because in Oblivion and other games it has been a rather poor show for the DLC as it was always finished so quickly.

I like how they are going to give you the choice of good or evil. As in past elder scroll game it was usually one or the other.

Tamriel is just your overbaked, clichéd, average high fantasy setting. If Bethesda put 10% as much effort developing Fallout's lore as they do Tamriel's it'd kick its ass because the premise is at least a hundred times better.

I am sorry but Fallout New Vegas was GOOD then CRAP. Oh look I finish the main story line, what do I do? Oh wait NOTHING, GAME OVER. The expansion packs did not continue at all.

I mean seriously. I am going to stop chasing the guy who shot me to go and go on a wild journey.

Fallout3 was good but became boring after awhile as the weapons became to much the same and you did the same "I am going in alone again" No partners. No character development. Weird Robot attacks.

We have robots that clean your house yet we have radioactive water? Sure nuke attack. No, re trying to re build. Meh fallout games have looked and felt the same. No great leap from fallout 3 to new vegas even though quite sometime has passed since the two games.

Anyway TES games are great. While I liked Fallout the game was over and done with within a few hours. As if you do the main questline the game is done with and you can't do anything to continue and by the time the DLC is out I have sold the game and deleted my save and moved on.

I guess it comes down to taste.

Oh and to add to the whole Fallout/ The Elder Scrolls thing, I love Fallout and The Elder Scrolls and I love the settings for them both. However I prefer Tamriel as it is such an amasing thought out world. Fallout has got a large backstory, but Tamriel has a HUGE one.

Lol, it sounds like you didn't even take full advantage of everything the game has to offer. The expansion packs did loads of good for the story because they filled in the holes left by the other couriers. There would have been no point to leave those huge gaps in the story and Obsidian did a great job making really good DLC. I see, however, you most likely did not do any faction quest arcs, which makes me pretty disappointed.

I might get Dawnguard when it's released, but I might not. I'm starting to lose my love for TES after realizing it's such the atypical middle/dark ages setting with no real variety.

Well I did do faction work, I did a lot of the game before moving on to complete it however there was nothing to do after you completed the game. I explored and put a lot of work into the game,

I however would have loved the game to continue. For example! I went independant. That means I defeated the NCR and Legion (practically) and now rules the Vegas strip. Why could I not have done a lot of things like help the people who needed it, Done criminal stuff. You know choose what I wanted to do with my robot army.

It had mass potential to be continued and the DLC could have done it.

Unforgivably it never.

Both fallout and elder scrolls are great. Just different some are going to prefer one over the other. I got completely hooked with fallout 3 but got bored with new vegas. I never finished oblivion but am still playing skyrim. Almost at the end and probably will get the expansion when it comes out.
