Are skinny jeans tolerable as church attire?

I don't see why not, depending on the colour of course. Then again, why not wear what you feel comfortable in?

I agree with Kryptonite. I would go with darker colored ones, but I don't see why you couldn't wear them.

I don't see why not...I guess it depends on what people your age normally wear to church where you go.

That depends on your church's values.

I would never step into a church that insists on any specific attire other than *decent*. I don't wear tight skinnies, but the AC is freaking cold so it's usually collar shirt and jeans with my timbies or low-rise boots. As long as your moobs, flabs and titties are covered who are they to judge?

I think it's fine, but I wouldn't wear a pair that were exceptionally tight or had holes in them above the knee. I don't wear jeans with holes anyway, but jeans without rips are generally considered more 'classy' than heavily distressed jeans.

Yeah, it's probably fine, but make sure there's no holes in them, and personally, I think a darker colour would look more respectful. And also, they shouldn't be like skin-tight.

It is ^_^ If it wasn't allowed, then I might have never been able to attend a mass for the past 7 months (?) ^_^

Personally, when I go to church (which is rare), I wear more dress clothes. I do not view skinny jeans as dressy. I wouldn't but do whatever you want.

I laughed a lil when i saw this. Depends on what church obviously. Once in a while i would go to this non-denominational church and I would just see like half the ppl there look like they just got up and threw some clothes on they saw on the floor.

If you're gonna go to church look decent, even if you don't believe in what is being taught respect their beliefs at least

If they weren't too skinny, and not totally noticeable. Like black ones with a v-neck would be good! Most high school guys at my church wear that.

I think they're fine. Just have to pair them with a decent shirt and shoes.

That's all I would wear to church, since that's all I own.

I wouldn't do it. It's a place of reverence...not a fashion show haha. For some people--me--, life is a fashion show, but I don't think it's appropriate.

I've worn black skinny jeans to church, no biggy. Looks really nice if you have a good top + shoes to go with it. Can look quite formal.
