When you have CS5 and go to CS6 all you see is design changes. I don't see a reason to upgrade on that small of a margin, so I voted no.

Nope. Unless you are a paid professional designer who does some 3d.

I never even liked five. 3 kinda got stuck with me.

I'm running CS5, but my favorite by far was CS3. I will get CS6 for a few of the new features since I'm lazy and simplifying my work is a wonderwaffle for me, but if you're buying without the upgrade discount, I'd say no. Just stick with CS3 or CS4.

I hardly use PS anymore. However, I didn't like 5. I'll stick to 3 or 4.

First of, I would say, Creative Suite is an application suite designed for industry professionals. It is NOT a toy or application you download to "play" with.

I vote yes, because Adobe does a great job at keeping pace with the industry. I personally own CS5.5 myself, legitimately and use it for projects that give me income. Yes, I will be attending the Adobe CS6 launch event next week, and am definitely going to acquire it. (Via heavily subsidized student discount of course, I'm dirt broke). Not just Photoshop, but the entire suite as a whole forms a hearty chunk of my tools.

You don't need the newest to do the best.
I'm still using CS4, my dad uses CS3 for his business, and they both work just fine for our "personal", and professional needs.
What i'm saying: If you already have CS5, 4, or 3, they still work rather well.

I'd personally stick to CS4. It does all the jobs you need it too, and is way cheaper. CS6 is definitely not worth the money.
