I don't know where to post this, but this seems to be a good of a place as any.

In lunch there are 8 of us at the table. Its a complete sausage fest, not that we don't have friends who are girls its just the way it happened. A lot of times somebody is not there and then one girl normal comes and sits there. She normally sits at the table right next to mine so she jumps back and forth a lot. I don't know how it came up but today she pointed to a few of the other guys and said they were children, then pointed to a few more and said they were boys. After that she pointed to only me and said I was pretty much a man. What in the world does that mean?! Does she just mean that I look older? Because at least one of the others at the table looks just as old as I do and he was one of the ones she called a boy.

could she have based it on maturity? the other boys act immature but you don't?

That was my first thought. It sounds to me as if she was complimenting you on your maturity.

I'd agree with the above two, if you act more mature than other boys your age then it would be no surprise for her to consider you a "man" in comparison to those around you. If that's the case then you should take it as a compliment if anything else, later on a lot of girls tend to stick around the more mature guys versus those who act like children. Children are loud and obnoxious after all.

That's kinda what I thought. And I did take it as a complement even though I didn't quite understand. Does anybody else have an opinion? Whether you are just agreeing with the above or if you think something else.
