Who did you tell first.

When you figured out you were gay/bi or stared to think you were gay/bi, who was the first person you told?

I am not gay or bi, but my one of my best friends is. He told his best friend in the whole wide world first, then slowly told his other best friends. Basically he told someone he trusted a whole lot with his secret, that's what many do.

Of my friends from school I told my friend Ryan, he's been a really good friend to me throughout the years and I figured if I was going to tell anybody it would be him. Before that I had told people here, which was not a big deal at all.

Well, my therapist was the first person I told, but the first friend I told was a mistake. Long story short I was going insane and had to tell someone, but it all turned out ok.

The first person I told my true feelings to, was my best friend. We're boyfriends now :P.

Well, after i finally figured it out, i told my brother, although he like most people already knew, seeing as i never was the straightest of people :P

The only person I have told is my best friend Justin. It took me awhile to work up the nerve to tell him, but everything is a-ok now.

I told my friends at school when we were outside for gym. I was talking to a couple of them about stuff that was bothering me and after something one of them said I told them. Almost all of them were bi but it surprised them that I was. Everybody knew me as the quiet girl.

After that I told two counselors at me school and they helped me through some issues I was having.

And the last person I told was my brother. When I told him I was so scared and I actually started crying. But he's supportive of me and I'm glad for that.:)

One of them actual made out with me that night - someone who isn't gay at all, it was quite nice :)

Like Tristin I first came out to my brother who was also there with his friend so I guess to them both. My brother went "DUHHH" as if that is news so I guess its right that those closest to you know already. Then to my parents the next weekend and they were cool with it. I guess it helped that my dad's brother is gay and out but it still was hard for me to make the move but I'm glad I did

I first told this one kid on Xbox when I was maybe 12 or 13. Now, we've been friends for maybe 5 or 6 years. After that, it spread out on my friends list in Xbox but I wouldn't say that would count. The first time I ever told anyone in "real life" was my best friend. I told him after an extremely awkward encounter with him. He didn't care at all. We're not friends anymore though.

I don't know maybe it's different with girls but I told my big brother and we talked it out because he thought I wasn't old enough to decide my sexuality and I hadn't experienced enough. Then I told a girl I had a huge crush on that was openly lesbian and then the whole school found out. I still to this day haven't told my family other than my brother and sisters.

I told my friend Daniela. It was a mistake because I said it by accident (erhm ... texted it by accident :lol: ) She didn't really care, and I was happy about that.

Now she's like my best friend, and I can trust her with almost everything. She's basically my therapist :)

I basically told no one until they asked, after all what's the point of telling everyone at random, they should still like you no matter what and of course they wouldn't be disrespectful so why 'just' tell them if they want to know or if there curious they shouldn't hesitate to ask.

first was in a post or rant here on VT. in real life i've only told one person and it was a disaster that I wish i could take back. I ended up losing my best friend of 7 years. i'm not in any hurry to tell anyone else IRL.

I first told my best friend (I say that, but she's one of a few bests) and she didn't care at all. She was one of the 'oh my god you're my gay best friend!' types, but she kept it a secret. It took a very long time for me to actually say it-well, type it, as it was over facebook, but whatever- but when I did it was a long moment of freaking out, then a good calm feeling when she was cool about it :)
