Why are we not allowd to post in old topics? I know, I know, it's spamming, bringing up old topics, but what if some people have never seen them?

If people haven't seen the topics before, they can read the thread to get the info they need. They can also post a thread of their own that's similar to avoid bringing back a dead thread.
Since this is a help site, we see a lot of questions. One of the reasons that this rule is in place is because that the topic dies after it's already answered. If a person brings it back, it just leaves it to unnecessary posts (such as other members saying the same thing as the last one, or people spamming) and that person who asked the question may not even be on the site any more!

Well why do they have to post in them if they havent seen them? All they have to do is read them. And if they want to add they theyll just have to make a new topic with maybe the link somewhere in the new topic! :D
Dont ya just love rules??? :)

The only place where old threads can be posted in are the psychiatric ward forums. The activity in those forums aren't very high and a lot of old threads can be on the first page still.
