Okay. So. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Have you had character ideas and world ideas but no plot? For example, I had a bunch of character ideas. Here they are:

Ember:
-Age 17
-Zombie killer.
-Female.

Marlow:
-Age 1170 (looks around 23).
-Vampire.
-Male.

Jarvis:
-Age 16.
-Ghost.
-Male.

Tucker:
-Age 22.
-Thief.
-Male.

Quinn:
-Age 19
-Thief.
-Female.

Colton:
-Age 41.
-Chief of police.
-Male.

Fallon:
-Age 21.
-Female.
-Vampire Hunter.

Sam:
-Age 2.
-Half vampire/half human.
-Male.

Willow:
-Age 22.
-Human.
-Female.

Fenton:
-Age 18.
-Wizard.
-Male

And the world they live in is basically our world in America. Except far in the future. And it's as if our world has had magic in it the whole time. There's wizard schools and blood banks for vampires. Zombie killers and vampire hunters are specialized policemen. There's dragon breeders and unicorn riding lessons. But there's no ... plot. I'm confused.

The vampire hunters want Marlow dead. The only one who doesn't is Fallon, who:
A. Is in love with Marlow
B. Doesn't know he's a vampire.
(If you wanted, Sam could be their kid).

Ember, Jarvis, and Fenton (the high school kids) team up to defeat Zombies.

The thieves have a rivalry with Colton.

Willow holds absolutely no importance.

See. I probably should have mentioned this. Fallon's a villain. She wants Marlow dead. Sam is Marlow and Willow's child. Ember is Colton's child. Jarvis, Fenton, Quinn and Tucker are a band of thieves. Marlow is the leader of the band of thieves.

Yeah, um. Sounds like you have a plot already. That was just my interpretation of a list of characters that were given no connection. In my opinion, a conflict like the one I listed would be a better one. You wanted a plot, didn't you?

I've had this happen to me multiple times! I have like 5 worlds and tons of characters but haven't been able to come up with plots for them. I've been able to get an overview of some sort for some of them or mini-plots within the story, but for me the hardest part is figuring out how to start the whole thing

Someone who understands! Yay! XD Yeah. That's exactly what's happening with this book. At least the characters are interesting to talk to while I try and figure out the main plot. :D
