Interestingly the second of your sources above blames a decrease in testosterone for a decrease in semen volume with age while the academic paper in the third link found no decrease in testosterone with age in their sample. As the second source is trying to sell you something and the third is an academic paper I know which one I trust.

Back to the original question though, even if you interpret the the suggested complex reasons in the last paper as a a kind of "the testicles and glands get worn out as they get old" you have to remember that these are not like a piece of equipment you can turn off. The testicles produce sperm continuously as do the glands that make the liquid part of semen and, if there is any wearing out effect, it will be from that production regardless of whether the resulting semen is ejaculated or not.
