All jailbreaking does is allows you to install apps that are not on the App Store or that have been rejected. If you update your iOS, you will lose the jailbreak. With all due respect, you don't sound incredibly knowledge-wise on this, I'd say do some research about apps you may want to install and looking at Apples warranty and all that, and once you've done your work, come to a decision then.

Pro: Free Apps and Themes

Con: The free apps are probably pirated and it voids your warranty.

I don't even use apps on my iPhone, Facebook and twitter are about it. In fear of breaking it or voiding my warranty, I would just leave mine the way it is.

Incorrect.

Free apps are not pirated unless you add an illegal repository. Many apps which are available through Jailbreaking you now actually have to start paying for premium ones, such as having the Android Lock, or the Face Recognizer.

That must have changed because at one point you could easily get any apps you wanted free through....Installous or something like that and Cydia even gave a warning that many of those apps were pirated and to be careful with it. I could be wrong though, I haven't had an iPhone or iPod Touch in 3+ years.

Yes, install0us is an app which enables you to pirate apps from the App Store, and it comes from an illegal repository.

I remember when I used to pirate apps. It is so much more satisfying to actually buy them.

The purpose of install0us and software from their repository was actually for App testing purposes, people would have used it with intention of buying the software, but the App was misused so people just ended up pirating them.

my simplified answer:
Pros: free and more useful apps and tweaks to iOS
Cons: breaks apple's warranty

Yeah, I did that as well. Tested them, and if I really liked them, I bought them. Most of the time. But I'd have to to really like the app...
