View Full Version : I think my mom might be cheating on my dad

It's quite disturbing how open she is about it. She always goes out with her friends for the night, doesn't come home until really early, sometimes checks into hotels with her female friends O.o. Go on her pictures on facebook, and you see a bunch of guys commenting on it such as "mmmm" or "sexy". It really bothers me.
What bothers me even more though is that, she now has an STD that my father is negative for... that's what kills me.
I know I'm jumping to conclusions (most likely), but what do you guys think?

Well the STD, must indicate something, I'm not saying run out and accuse her, but it looks like she every well could be. What does your dad think about her going out late, or even those photos? Does he even know about any of this?

Well, lets see. Since I happen to have the same STD as my mom (don't you even DARE trying to make a joke about it...anyone. I did not sleep with my mother), the doctor thinks it may have been genetic. She's blocked my dad and I from seeing some posts, and I think all of our family wonders on occasion what she is up to...moreso when she spends the night at a hotel with her friend. But trust me, it's a lot better than before.

Ya could be genetic, but I suggest talking to her about it before bringing it up to your dad or anything.

Tell your father to take a look at her facebook page from her account. In all honesty, it's his job to find out. Most men find out their wives are cheating on them through facebook anyways, he just has to log into her account.
I'm not condoning this in any way, though. Just sayin'.

Keep in mind some STD's are transmitted in more ways than just sex.
I'd talk to your mom about it, in a calm civilized manner. Don't accuse her, but you can ask why some guys are commenting like that on her photos or whatever.
Also remember you can always talk to your dad. Once again, don't accuse your mother, but say you have some worries about her.

Yeah, this is important.
ask why some guys are commenting like that on her photos or whatever.
And also ask how she feels about that and why she doesn't do something about it. I know this is more confrontational than Con's suggestions, but this is obviously worrying you, so bring it up with her.

You should talk to her, but her blocking posts from you and your dad seems really suspicious.
And nice avatar pic ;) :)

Uhhhh, we didn't?
Wait, when did you find out that you had the same STD?
I'd say around the end of february, early march, because that's when I had my first outbreak.

I don't know if my mom has FB or not because I just met her.. it is kind-of weird for a grown woman to be going to clubs and hotels at night... especially since she is married ;S

My mom did the same things, minus the Facebook (my dad also has one and would see), and she was having an affair. It all worked out in the end, they are still together. Anyways, it sounds very suspicious to me. Just talk to her first before your dad, as he might flip a bitch and start accusing and fighting with her. I don't know for sure, but intervening may actually save the marriage.
