A few days before graduation, your ex gf (you broke up two months ago, you're the one who wanted to end it, she was angry at first at how you acted, she didn't want to be friends, it wasn't too good) gave you this post card from like 1920 that was a picture of this place you love. On it she wrote "I found this and it reminded me of you and I realized I didn't want to leave high school without telling you that even though things didn't work out, I'm really glad I got to know you. And if I don't talk to you again, good luck with college and everything. You really were a great person to know." She just handed it to you and walked away.

Honestly, it would show I made an impact on their life. It's probably best to move on now to bigger and better things.

...I gave my ex a Build-a-Bear. She felt bad for breaking up with me the way she did after that. It was to be a present before we broke up, and I wanted to keep it a secret. Oh well, that's life I guess.

This.
Also, one of my ex's gave me like items. Does it mean they want you back? No. It means that at one point on their lives you were extremely important to them, and that's a special thing to have an impact on someone else live whether big or small. Its to show you that they care, they've moved on and now it's time for you to, too. It's also like a keepsake, so that you don't forget what time you had together.

I would be glad. Stop thinking of her as an ex, and think of her as a friendly acquaintance. I know it sounds strange, but you're on good terms and you know each other. This shows that she still cares about you, even if it's only platonic.

I agree too, excellent answer.
I mean, I get writings close to this in my yearbook from people, I just smile and say, "Oh, that's nice," and go on.

how i see it, when that happens to you it isnt just so you can look at it and be like oh how good. it means that you had an impact and importance on someone's life that they will remember you for it. wouldnt you like to feel and know you were that important for someone that even though after the bad breakup (refering to OP) they keep a good memory of you. like someone else said, i would be glad and i would somehow feel a little bit better about myself.
