often in warm weather (i'm talking like 25-28 degrees sought of warm) and i'm out just walking slowly for even a short distance, then sit down, i'll break into a big sweat. sometimes i'll just walk from the car into the house (a very short distance) sit down, and sweat. is this normal or do i have a "faulty thermostat"? this doesn't seem normal and is quite embarassesing at times when i have to wipe my face all the time with everyone kind of watching me.

You may want to ask your doctor about this and the chest pains (other thread) at the same time. One could have an effect on the other, even if the link has happened or may bridge.
I'll try to read up on some of this

Thats weird though it could be one of these
1. do you were thick clothing such as jackets in warm weather
2. maybe its because your not drinking and eating the right foods
Then again maybe you just sweat alot and theres not much to do about that maybe were some deoderant or something

Do you drink enough water? Are you overweight?

the only things to bring up from those mentioned above are that although i eat my vegies and good foods, i do eat a selection of bad foods on a regular basis. also i probably don't drink enough either.

Heat wave? I've noticed that people from cold places (Alaska, etc.) absolutely overheat in Hawaii. Even for me. When I moved from Kauai (cool and damp) to the parched, high altitude, constantly hot Kona, I was sweating almost uncontrollably for a month. However, since you have lived in the same place for quite some time (I'm assuming), I don't know what could be causing that other than unseasonably hot weather.

Ya maybe hey like acclimatization
Where I live between summer and winter the temp varys ALLOT
were talking a temp swing of upwards of 90C (194F) easy
each season takes some getting used to
Like a week n a half 2 weeks ago it started getting hot like +35C in the shade no breeze humid as hell and I was....not liking it sweaty, bitchy, dizzy
The temp for the most part has been preaty constant and now i'm just kinda clamy if i've been outside working for a bit other then that i'm fine
I've been to Anchorage and going from that espically in winter to Hawaii....I would be in really bad shape from the heat
all i can suggest man is allot of water and fruit
very little pop (avoid allot of sugar)
try and stick to the shade till you feel better
