I need some help with getting a lag fix.

Well as it turns out i only have 1 Penmtium dual core CPU at 2.30GHz and i'm working on a MASSIVE Minecraft project. but I'd prefer to use SPoutcraft to reduce lag instead of other alternatives. reason being is that it also allows me to test spoutcraft plugins on my server.
but I can't get it due to my Premium account avign been hacked, I reported it to Mojang and the accoutn was deleted. right now i'm working on saving up for a premium account though. anyone know other alternatives that are equivalent to spoutcraft? It dosn't matter if it supports spoutcraft plugins.

I don't think there are any alternatives. I think the title is a little misleading, since I was going to tell you some tips to reduce lag. I mean, the bukkit mods are amazing, but I'm sure you're already using that. hMod is outdated.
