What, those of you who are in a relationship or can imagine what it takes...what is your key to a successful relationship...

Between Josh and I here is our one rule that must always be fallowed. This is also the same rule my grandparents fallow and they have been married 50+ years.....

Never go to bed angry, always have a solution to the situation...

Never go to bed angry, we try and succeed every time. Anytime we have an argument we always have a solution by bedtime. A way to fix it and we compromise.

SO what are your keys to a good relationship...

For me, it's simple. Communication. Without communication, no gaps can be filled, no argument overcome. Relationships fail 11 times out of 10 without good communication.

TRUST. Without that, a relationship will fail every time

Well a few things.

First of all, LOVE!! Although it seems to be obvious, some people date because they think someone is hawt or kyoot or something. But this isn't what a relationship is about.

Like Kyle said, trust. You have to trust that the person is not going to hurt you.

And as TeeJay said, you cannot just give up right away. I mean, if you don't work out your issues in things, it'll never work.

Honesty. If you don't like something, don't beat about the bush, spit it out, that way when things do come to an argument - if it those - you can sort it out easily due to fact you've been honest in the first place.

From greatest importance to least...

1) Trust
2) Honesty (Including the ability to have things out in the open)
3) Affections/Love

I do share your grandparents belief though, it is a very good practice.
