first off, i'm sorry if it's in the wrong place. I wasn't sure where to put it :P
But- Hey everyone, I wrote this support letter to send out to my family about a trip I'm planning on taking. Do you think its worded well and everything? Feedback/Criticism is really needed, I want to make sure everything sounds great.
Thanks in advance :)
Dear ________,
I hope everything is going well for you!
I managed to get a job working as a summer camp counselor at the [location] ! I've been keeping myself really busy lately, whether it be at my church, or at home. I'm involved with helping out the children's Sunday school a couple weekends a month, along with helping out with whatever they need around church. At home, I've been keeping busy doing schoolwork and other chores. Working with the other children will only keep me busier, but it is most definitely worth it!
However, I have come across an opportunity to go on a mission trip later this summer! This trip will go to the [location] in Los Angeles, where they provide multiple outreach programs to people in the community. If I were to go on this trip, it would be life changing. To see what people are experiencing first-hand will be very eye-opening. On this trip, we will be working around the [location], doing outreach to local children, participating in church services on the streets of Los Angeles, along with so much more.
In order for this trip to be possible, I personally need to raise $900. This cost includes airfare, housing at the [location], and everything else needed for the trip. We would be leaving [day], and return [day].
If you would be willing to help sponsor me financially, donations will be greatly appreciated. As important as the financial aspect is, I will value your prayers even more -- not only for me personally, but for everyone else that will be going on this trip!
This is an opportunity of a lifetime, I always want to be able to go out and serve and others who need help. I feel very fortunate to be able to take part in this experience.
Thank you very much for your consideration,
Brice
