Hey guys. I just thought I'd ask if anyone has MD like I do. My name is Shan, by the way.
Anyway, MD is a mental thing which means yuo create characters in your mind and play stories out with them. That's how I explain it anyway. Its hard to explain. Especially when you suffer it.

The above link is one of the best sites I could find that explain it.

I've actually never heard of MD until now, and your definition isn't exact. Maladaptive Daydreaming is extreme daydreaming; it stops or slows you from doing things in your normal day.
This is quite amazing, I personally have a sort of violent film clip in my head every time I see a person (Very violent...) but I never thought it could be involved with my normal daydreaming (which is a lot). I'll have to ask my doc about it, oh and thanks for making this post.

I was diagnosed with this, and it's gotten a lot better. The only time it's really out of control is during extreme panic attacks. I don't talk out loud in class or anything anymore, I've learned to control that. But sometimes at home I'll find myself pacing around like crazy acting out a scene of something, not even realizing I had stood up. Doesn't happen as often though.
Your definition is kinda vague, MD is characterized by being "addicted to daydreaming", becoming so wrapped up in your daydreams they feel like reality, acting out your daydreams (mostly while pacing, spinning around, or some repetitive movement), and having emotional attachments to the people in your daydreams.
