On most days I eat maybe around 500 calories. Occasionally I crave something then start binge eating. Is it okay if I take get my nutrients from vitamins instead of food? Every time I eat something, healthy or not, I can't stop eating. So I try to not eat that much/often. I know this isn't the best thing to do but is it healthy/okay?

To receive all of the required daily nutrients, one would have to take a vitamin about the size of a chair. That's kind of... Impossible. It would not be healthy as vitamins cannot provide the same essential nutrients that food can under reasonable circumstances.

I tried this. It doesn't work, unfortunately.
Im taking a nutrition course in school at the moment and it says that vitamin supplements don't actually work unless their is already food in your body to absorbs the vitamins so your body can absorb it. If there isn't any food the vitamin will just dissolve and will go straight through your body like a glass of water.

Well, vitamin supplements are definitely a step up from not taking them, but you do need some food. It's a fact of survival. Also, a tip to prevent a binge is to count to 100, taking a sip of water between each number. Good luck!

Vitamins only have vitamins. You need calories too. At the very least eat some fast food or something and vitamins. And please FTLOG no one say there are "calorie pills". If you had any idea how Calories worked, you would know there aren't.
Ideally you'd eat fruit, vegetables, meat, cheese, eggs, etc.
