I don't own a laptop, but I use them a lot at school. Yes, I plan on getting one in the distant future... But I hate the usual touchpad mouses. For me at least, I have to make a lot of strokes with my finger to move the cursor across the screen.

So that makes me wonder, do they make mouses for laptops? What is the cheapest universal laptop mouse? Best?

well you can buy the regular mouse that you plug in to laptops...then there's the wireless mouse.....which is pretty cool

I found a bunch of mice at a Best Buy page: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Mice-Keyboards/Laptop-Mice/abcat0513003.c?id=abcat0513003

the price seems to range from under $50 to over $100...as for which one is the "best" I'm gonna leave that up to you...if you choose a wireless mouse then you should look at battery life or something

Effectively every mouse made today - wired or wireless - is USB and will be compatible with your laptop. If you're looking for cheap, just head over to a nearby computer/electronics store, you'll definitely be able to get one for less than $10 or $15, although obviously the very cheap ones aren't going to last for a very long time.

Any USB, or bluetooth mouse will work with a Laptop.

Anything will work. Since I have access to Wacom interactive tablets when I need them most, I went to Walmart and got the cheapest available thing just to suffice for the times I need it. Macbook trackpads work like a gem, so unless kicking back with a casual game or working with CAD, I love my trackpad.

You know, changing the mouse/touchpad sensitivity fixes the whole "taking multiple swipes to move across the screen".
Js.

Anyway, yeah, any USB mouse will work with a laptop. I'm sure a wireless one is preferred, seeing as I certainly wouldn't want a wire flipping all around the place when on my lappy.

When you do get laptop, look into ones with Bluetooth capability. Bluetooth mouses save you from using a USB port.

You can increase the sensitivity and mouse acceleration of a trackpad if that helps bu tI too hate them XD

Any cheap USB mouse will work!! I recommend wireless unless you're using it for gaming :)
