Gandalf vs Dumbledore

Who would win in a fight? Assuming they were fighting.

My opinion is Dumbledore because he has a lot more different spells. I've never read the books, but from the films Gandalf doesn't seem that great.

Also assume that Gandalf is not ressurected.

Okay, time to use logic. Who does Gandalf fight? He fights Nazgul's, he fight's Orcs, he fights Balrog as-well as trolls, ring wraiths and other fantasy monstrosities.

Who does Dumbledore fight? A couple of wizards and a guy with no nose? And he loses, seriously? Gandalf would kick the crap out of Dumbledore.

Plus he is waaaaaay more badass looking imo.

Albus Dumbledore was considered to be the most powerful wizard of his time but that was only because he defeated Gellert Grindelwald. Gandalf once protected Middle-Earth single-handedly.

Gandalf would win. He died once and came back more powerful. What's to say he won't do that again? Not to mention Dumbledore was killed by Snape and his wand, Gandalf was almost defeate by a demonic beast, almost being the key word. I vote Gandalf. He would wipe the floor with Dumbledore. Dumbledore wasn't considered the greatest wizard of his time for just defeating grindewald! He discovered the twelve uses of dragon blood, and he invented several magical items and spells. Furthermore, all dumbledore would have to do is cast the killing curse. Gandalf could not block the killing curse because it is unblockable. Dumbledore was only killed because he touched a horcrux that put a curse inside him that would have killed him later. He asked snape to finsih him so he did not have to suffer. If gandalf had touched that horcrux he would be in the same place. Gandalf would lose 100 times over, dumbledore is amazing!

Dumbledore is 80ish and Gandalf is over 2000 years old (and that only includes the time he spent on middle earth not as one of the Valar) so I think Gandalf has more combat experience. Also, Gandalf defeated a Balrog, survived going into Dol Goldur and is now the most powerful wizard of the order after becoming a white wizard and defeating Saruman.
Now, I am not against Dumbledore, he is awesome and could give a good fight, but, Gandalf would win.

Gandalf. He was able to defeat a firey demon with a sword and a staff, and after the fight ended up killing him, he came back to life. He is also more than just a wizard. According to Tolkein's posthumously published "The Silmarillion", Gandalf is one of the Maiar, a supernatural race who are like the angels of the LotR world, but that's another story. Either way, there is nothing that indicates Dumbledore as being anything other than human.

Dumbledore is badass. There is no denying the fact that he was extremely powerful and a master tactician, after all he orchestrated everything after Harry was revealed as the 'One who lived'.

However, Gandalf has him beat. The movies don't even show a quarter of what Gandalf is capable of with his powers, and that is including killing a Balrog.
