So well I'm gonna be at 2 barbecues this weekend, and with birthdays and summer coming up, I know there's gonna be restaurants, and I'm not really sure what to do.
So I guess what do you guys do when you're faced with restaurants/eating largeish meals with people? Also, for those who have been, advice for buffets? I'm positive I'm gonna have to go to atleast one in the near future, and the thought of a buffet is nauseating.
Thanks :)

I tend to steer away from the food and try to be as social as I can. Generally if there are loads of people, walk around and meet randoms. It's actually pretty fun.
I don't know what kind of advice you're after except for the nauseating part of buffets, but if there's something you could do to steer your mind away from food, like games, music or hanging out otherwise, do it :)

I understand you might be "forced" to eat when faced with the buffet, parents don't like to pay for their kids to get in and then them not eat. Go to the buffet and get the smallest plate they have. Put some healthy foods on it, stuff you wouldn't mind looking like you're eating, and make it look like you have a good amount on it. The smaller the plate, the larger the portion seems. Pick around at it. Tear up food, eat a bite or two. That's what I do. It's like a little show.
All though I would rather you just eat, lady.

Yeah, this. As far as the barbeques go, get something and then go around the corner and throw it away, or go to the bathroom and flush it down the toilet. I'm sure you know all the lies to tell: "I ate earlier," "I'm not hungry" etc. If you're lucky, there may be something like apples (53 cals for a red one, 100 for a green and all negative calorie anyway.)
But seriously, like Lexi said, I think we'd all prefer it if you just ate.

If you eat a more healthy food, you will feel ten times better than if you hadn't ate at all. I can't stand eating, the thought of food makes me feel bloated. But when I eat things that have positive effect on my body, like fruit that doesn't have as much sugar or vegetables, I feel way better about myself. You might want to pinpoint these items and eat them at the upcoming events. People will think better of you, too, if they see you eating healthy foods.

Yeah, that's generally what I've been trying to do, thanks. :)

Thank you lots. I'll keep that in mind. <3
