so today i had therapy for the first time since they found out about my self harming and well i told the truth this time around and i got through some shit, but now there's a hundred something rules being made all the time because of my burning that are just making me so much more stressed out and giving me a huge pain in my ass.
for example my bag, my room, my person, and everything i own will now be searched daily for a lighter or other such implements i could use to danger myself with. not to mention that if they ever find out about me doing it again I'm being shoved into a mental ward of a hospital, http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/icons/icon13.gif
right now though this that's about as helpful to me as using Neosporin.

how did your guys parents or therapist react to whatever SH you do
also do you think mine's overreacting?

I wouldn't say they are overreacting.

I mean, my parents last time they found out i SH, and yesterday when i tried to "end it all", were/are checking on me every 15-20 minutes, for like months.Imagine that >.>.But i understand them...cause if i were at their place, i would do the same thing.Think about it, wouldn't you?:)

And I'm sure you can get thought it all :)

Yeah, they're only trying to help you and keep you safe. Yes it's annoying, and mine didn't give me any privacy after they found out I cut either, but you just have to deal honestly.

Wow... I personally don't think the way they are doing it is the way to go, by the sounds of it. Other than scaring you into trying to force you into a mental ward and searching through everything for potentially harmful items, what are they trying to do? Are they actually counselling you and talking about the problems, talking about and fixing the triggers? Helping you with coping strategies? If "no", find another psychologist/counselor ;)
