Surviving the Prom

I will be going to prom in a couple weeks. How do/did the gay guys here survive it, particularly closeted folk? Do you just ask a girl and deal with it?

You don't need to ask a girl to go with you as an intimate date, you can just go as friends, that's what I did. It's not all about going with somebody to actually date or sleep with :P
