View Full Version : What the heck do I have?

For the past 4 or 5 days I've been having problems.

1-3: Area below navel hurting everytime I get up, Moderate coughing (got worse everyday), drainage, losing voice.

4: Horrid coughing (To the point where I can't breathe.), horrid drainage (To the point where I vomit up snot after coughing.)

5(today): Throat is slightly sore, the thing that connects my jaw to my tongue is swollen.

More annoying than anything. What do I have? Any guesses?

It could be a bunch of different things, the only way to find out is taking a trip to the doctor, which I suggest you do since you seem to be quite ill. Feel better :)

Thanks. I am going to the doc, but I just want a second opinion (or a first in this case. :))

I believe it could just be a viral infection. I was hit badly with one two years ago and was knocked off for nearly three weeks. I was forced to do PE at school because I didn't have a doctor's note and that made it much worse. I almost threatened action on the school but that's another story.

Stand in the mirror under light, and say "aah" like the doctors make you do. Do you see lots of white or red spots?

I guess by now you'd already have been to the doctor. Any results?

It doesn't sound serious to me, just a virus or something. You should be fine, but go see a doctor for medications to relieve the symptoms.

I haven't gone to the doctor because I feel much better, but it feels like my tongue should be snipped again. Thanks everyone.

If any of the symptoms persist, I'd still recommend the doctor.

Will do. I'm much better as of now though.
