Well I am thinking about doing home school because I am extremely bored at school, not just its because of learning but because I already know all the stuff they are teaching. That is one of the reasons I don't bother showing up. What do you think of home school? And do you think I should try it?

To be honest I think home schooling is a bad idea. Going to school isn't just about learning its also about making friends for after your school years.

What year level are you in?
I've considered homeschooling many times before, but I've always decided against it. As much as I hate schools, I feel like I have better access to information there. And I'm in year 11, so I only have a year and a half left anyway.

Academics play a very small part in what you learn in school. I felt exactly the same as you when I was at school. Classes were boring as hell. What I learned though, discipline, leadership and maturity has really moulded me to who I am.

I will give you my honest opinion homeschooling is the worst thing ever. I left my Jr. High the second semester to finish it online, and you have no motivation to do your work, you think you do but you won't. I did minimal work and got withdrawn from the program, and know I have to repeat 8th grade so much for going to highschool with all my friends. ): I'm serious its not worth it.

No, high school is only 4 years. You're already enrolled so you might as well stay put. Look at the glass half full... at least you understand everything that is being taught vs. not understanding anything. Just my opinion.
I agree.
The excuse of "I already know it all" is just such a teenage response. I assure you that you are gaining some knowledge from these teachers or you would already be graduated under a genius program that allows people to graduate early and begin college because they are incredibly smart. My sister's boyfriend had this same excuse and he dropped out and now can't even pass the GED test. He obviously wasn't that smart. Stay in school, even if it us home school, but home school is a very anti-social method of learning. Since you "know everything already" you just have that much more time to make friends and have fun.

I have seen what home schooling does to people. The lack of social interaction changes them into socially-awkward strangers who nobody understands.
I actually met one this weekend. He was 14, just like me, but to be honest, he acted more like an 11-year-old.
It's unfortunate, yes, but that's what happens. Go to high school, as the friendships there will be key to your fun in those 4 years. Humans are social animals, that's the way it's been even since our ancestors evolved many thousands of years ago. And when you mess with evolution, evolution nips you in the ass.

Well the program I was thinking about getting would still have me doing some school in school, just not as much. Like the math classes I would be taking at home. But like english I would be taking there. So I wouldn't be only home school or not totally in school but a little of both.

Though,I do agree with all of the above, it really is your choice. We can't tell you to not choose to be homeschooled, but public/private school is a much better option. While yes, it does make it harder to socialize, it's not impossible as others seem to think.
I don't have a problem with homeschooling. If someone wants to, fine by me.

It would still set you apart from the rest of the people. "What math class do you take? --I take it at home." That response will surprise some, others will spread rumours, and still others will make your life miserable with it.
