Yes, I realize someone has posted this... But I want to have "debate" per say with people, head on.

I am strongly against the legalization of marijuana. Why? Well, because it's TERRIBLE for you, it impairs reflexes, contains way more tar, and contains WAY more cancer causing particles then cigarettes.

I'd consider myself fairly well rounded when it comes to debates, and i can see why you would want to legalize it, but i'm wondering if there is anyone intelligent enough to challenge me, and have a decent argument as to WHY it should be legalized.

Because there's absolutely no incentive for the government to create victimless crimes. It protects nobody and harms everybody. If a free individual chooses to use marijuana, or any other drug, and they're not violating the rights of any other person, what interest does the government have in their decision? None, that's the answer.

The attitude of "protecting people from themselves" that has developed in this country over the past 50 years reeks of authoritarianism. The War on Drugs is a failed program that has vastly overextended the government bureaucracy, intruding on privacy and property rights.

I am still trying to figure out your position on the matter.

OP: I have stated my opinion only like 10 times, search marijuana and you will surely find it, and I don't think there is a just cause of another thread about this.

Was that sarcasm? If not... then I'm pro-legalization, basically.

I didn't even realize this was a different thread. Weird moment.

While I realize the reason behind you creating a separate thread, we don't need two active marijuana debates going on at the same time.
