Skyrim Question (Experts Gather Here)

After completing the Mages' Guild storyline and grabbing and those reward items, I realised that I should be a mage. I was a spellsword before but I was never truly a mage, with robes and a staff, etc.

I really want to be a mage now, staff on right hand, spell on left hand.

The thing is, if I am truly to rely on magic, that means I should be a High Elf but come on, it doesn't make sense when the Dragonborn is, well, Thalmor.

My other conflict is that I want to try out a bow-character so much. I wish to dominate the battlefield with a bow and dual wield swords.

My primary conflict is "Mage of Bow-Build".
My secondary conflict is "Which race to choose for which selection"

I hope you will help me out with this one.

Yeh being an elf dosent seem like dovahkin. im allways usally a dovahkin with studded armor and iron stuff. basicly ur typical dragonborn like on the trailers. im going through it now as a two handed warrior. its fun and i like it. i was a battlemage on my ps3 with a sword and a spell. thats probaly alrught. also if you love the bow so much u should try being an assasin. i have 2 assasin saves and one with illusion spells. being an archer is a usfel tool. so if youre doing that become an half assasin with a focused bow and dual weild weapons. and also when ur a high elf ur not in the thalmor. the thalmor are agents from the aldmeri domenion. only some elvs are in that group. you arent. being a high elf is usfel for magic but they look gay so i changed everything on mine and he looks awesome.

Like I have said, storywise being a High-Elf isn't right.

Should I be a Wood Elf for an assassin build?

No matter what race you are there is absouletly no diffrence in the storyline. but nords are extremly racist and allways treat nord races with respect. If your an orc vigalens of stendar arcist to u because u worship malacath.. theres no diffrence and all the diffrences dont change the overall gamrolay

In mh opinion be an assasin. your more sneaky and you use both bows and daggers. assasins can be extemly stealthy especially of your an illusion assasin. so im my opinion be an assasin. but using illusion spells is extermly usfel while sneaking.
