Yeah so pretty sure i'm over brushing my teeth/gums. I've got pain around the gum lines on the top of my mouth. and i'll brush till my gums bleed, 3-4 time each day. I was at the dentist just last week, so i'm pretty sure it's not cavities or gum disease or anything.

so i guess how do i stop this habit of 'over brushing' (if that's what i'm doing) and is there anything i can for my gum pain and is there anything specific i should do? i'm really paranoid of not brushing and not having my teeth look good.

I would suggest you stick to bruiting after meals....as for the pain I would go to the local pharmacy, talk to the pharmacist and I am sure they can recommend something for you or call your dentist. It sounds like you are over brushing and you should never brush so hard that it results in your gums bleeding.

The only reason I've ever had my gums bleed from brushing is due to the fact that I was close to having gingivitis. If you do brush your gums regularly though, that can't be the case. My suggestion is maybe to brush less vigorously, and maybe a softer brush could help too.

I feel your pain (no pun intended). I have a gum disease that makes my teeth and gums bleed and hurt every time I brush. I would just brush every time you eat a meal. If you want to, you can carry a tooth pick or a mini toothbrush with you for just a touch up here and there. Hope that helps.

I think my dentist did mention low enamel too, because I have low enamel and my dentist did warn me I might feel pain and bleed from that if I didn't take action. Basically, he asked me to cut down on acidic foods, strong whitening teeth products and overbrushing.
