Topic explains it. However, we have literally nothing in my house like Neocitrin or Advil Cold & Sinus even though I thought we did.

I could go and browse Google for ages for remedies that may or may not work but I wanted to see if anyone could give me ideas that DO work, so I don't have to test them all.

Just stuff I could usually find around the house. The only things I can think of are the steam in the shower or tea. But I have to go out later and I still feel like I'm swallowing sandpaper and my whole face pretty much hurts with no way of relieving it. ;_;

Help, please?

Try some Vicks products, they work well for congestion. At night try sleeping with the Vapo-rub on your upper chest, when you breathe it in it clears your sinuses, and during the day you can use the Vicks stick inhaler, it works wonders. You put it in one nostril, hold the other one shut and breathe in. Nothing clears my nose up better than that.

I take ginger, lemon and honey. I boil the lemon and add honey and ginger. It tastes really nasty but it will make your throat feel better.

Chicken soup. That's how grandmothers cure their grandsons' colds in Portugal

As someone above said, honey and lemon. It helps too soothe your throat and because it's warm it clears congestion too.

Try sleeping with your head slightly tilted up as well. It stops your nose from getting quite so blocked.

Get well soon Jo :)
