So, according to my computer it says that the soundcard is disconnected and now i can't listen to music. The only way i have to listen to anything is with an Avid external audio interface, but currently i have no adapters to connect my 3.5mm jack speakers to 6.25mm interface´s jack and RCA. Is there anyway to " connect" my computer soundcard.

Try disabling your sound card in Device Manager then re-enabling it (Start> Run> devmgmt.msc ), this should 'reset' the driver (Assuming it's a driver issue).
If that doesn't fix it, is your sound card on-board (Directly on the motherboard) or add-on (In a PCI/PCIe slot)? If it's an add-in card, try re-seating the card by pulling it out, blowing any dust/debris out of the slot, then putting it back in.

Didn't work. It's an on-board soundcard.
This is what happens when i try to set it as a default device

Huh, odd.
I'm assuming you've done the obvious of unplugging your speakers/headphones and plugging them back in? :P

The only thing I can think of that's possible is that the little 'switch' inside of the jack that tells it when something is plugged into it, has broken. Either that, or the jack is blown due to a surge/short.

Check your BIOS to see if you've/the pc's accidentally and randomly disabled your internal soundcard. If it has jacks that sense if headphones are on or not, maybe it's broken or something (not my area of expertise). There should be a way to bypass that if that's case?
My 2 cents, I own an ASUS Xonar DS and a TASCAM US-144MKII alongside my onboard audio :).

That's not the case.
In the screenshot he provided, the soundcard is clearly enabled, it's just not showing anything plugged into it.

I didn't even had my speakers plugged in, but now that they are plugged in, it works. I just achieved a whole new level of stupidity...
Thanks

could your sound card be outdated or just not working in general? you can also get a usb soundcard which is useful if your soundcard died and you cant afford an new internal one.
