So it's 6 weeks until my senior prom and I REALLY don't want to go but my parents are forcing me too. I don't want to go and I don't even have a date .....any help?

You don't have to have a date, see if your friends are taking anyone or whether they'd like to go in a group. Or just find a nice girl and ask her to go, it doesn't have to be a big deal.

As for your parents making you go, i'm sure they are just worried you'll miss out on an experience and you'll later regret it, if you really can't stand the thought of going then sit them down and have a mature discussion you present your reasons for why you don't to go and they can explain why they want you to go. Maybe you can work out a compromise and they'll pick you up early or something.

However if at the end of the day you don't want to go and your parents won't listen then just don't by the ticket sure it might cause a bit of an argument but if you don't want to go there isn't a lot else you can do.

You could always just go with a friend, that's what I did for junior prom (along with most people actually). When people think of "date" they tend to think a formal or romantic invitation, but your date for prom doesn't need to be that, so maybe consider asking a friend if they would like to go with you.
