Complicated Problems: Mixed Signals

Me and him are very complicated. I dont even know what we are! He sends so many mixed signals that right now, I dont know if he likes me or does he only do that because he's bored and wants to flirt? We have been friends for almost a year now and ever since I met him theres... a "spark" kind of. & we talk allot and we enjoy each others company. When I'm down.. he's there. He notices when Im struggling or when I'm in pain. When I'm happy its because he is the reason! I show that I like him because I THOUGHT he felt the same way. But after awhile he ignores me, then he talks to me and acts like nothing happened! then its the same cycle over and over and over again! And for some reason I still stay.. I honestly really like this guy and to think that he can just play with my emotions any time he wants is fucked up but I like him so I cant just leave.. Help! Whats your opinion?

Honestly, the worst he can do is say he doesn't feel the same way. Don't worry about that aftermath shit, because you can easily overcome that.
