Don't go.
This is pretty much the most simple answer. Maybe you should go and see what he has to think.

I'd go if I were you. It's always helpful to hear what other people have to say.

Unless they're pastors. Then it's probably not worth anyone's time to hear what they have to say.

It's important to listen to others opinion, it make your own opinion that much stronger. Just because it's a pastor does not mean it's right (or wrong).
OP, I would go, and take it with a grain of salt. You never know, he might say something useful to you.

You probably know enough about the church and pastor to know what the sermon is basically going to entail, and context clues tell me they're not too fond of the gays.
This assumption basically means that you shouldn't go and subject yourself to the gay bashing unless you plan to speak up during the sermon. Which, frankly, is unlikely.
Going accomplishes nothing except making yourself feel a bit shittier than you did before hearing the sermon.
Unless I'm wrong and the guy isn't going to preach about how gays are an abomination unto the lord.

He's either going to pull a lot of tribal crap about homosexuals being unnatural out of Deuteronomy, Leviticus et al or he's going to say 'Oh but Jesus said to love thy neighbour so it's okay'.
Basically whatever he says won't be anything new and considering what he's going to say is in the context of the Bible it's unlikely he'll say anything factual either.
And no, stop promoting this 'listen to everyone's opinion' shibboleth like it carries any practicality. There are certain circumstances where you can reasonably speculate that the person (even if he does give the more socially-accepted opinion) won't tell you something new or memorable.

It's your choice. See what he has to say. But if hes a typical Christian pastor, you can expect him to say that "Being gay is a sin.... (insert Bible verse).... You too can be saved.... (insert Bible verse).... Please pray with me if you don't know where you will spend eternity..... (Insert pray here).... (insert prayer to end sermon". That's how it would be here probably lol

“A fair result can be obtained only by fully stating and balancing the facts and arguments on both sides of each question." -Charles Darwin
One of my favorite quotes. I was taught to consider all sides before assuming the person might not say something new or memorable. How is anyone to say that a person might not say something that means a lot to the heart of the listener... without actually taking the time to listen in the first place.
