Wearing shorts

So I know this sound extremely stupid, but I have a fear of wearing shorts in public. Like I'm worried girls will think my leg hair is gross. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being basically hairless an 10 being the hariest) I believe I'm about a 6 or so. So im planning on wearing shorts Friday or tomorrow. But I'm worries people will comment. Do you think girls and guys comment about my leg hair? Will girls think it's gross? What can I say if someone comments about it? (my legs seem hairier than other guys, but it's not super hairy) When I was like, 12 I remember my step mom embarrassed me saying, look (my name) has hair on his legs. Then I covered them, then she made me move my hands. That was the most embarrassing thing. It seems my dad and stepmom have to comment on everything that changes in puberty (when she mentioned my leg hair, I didn't even start puberty then so, she must've been blind lol, but they also mentioned my voice deepening).

Other than in PE, I haven't worn shorts in about 5 years or so. I know dumb. I am just worried about people commenting and girls thinking it's gross or whatever (my legs are tan, and a bit muscular).

If your legs are tanned and a bit muscular, I'm sure girls will not care one bit. Hell, they might even have some crazy leg fetish. :P But you really shouldn't be scared about this, I'm sure people will accept it, and not think anything of it, especially if you're a 6/10 on the hairiness scale :L Don't sweat it man.

I've had super thick and dark leg hair since I was like 13. Every single time I went anywhere with shorts on there were some comments about it, some positive, some negative but most were just kind of indifferent. More of a like "Oh look, loads of hair.. that's interesting" rather than anything really negative. It's all up to you though, if you think that you can just laugh off the comments then go for it, you won't know until you try and it might get easier over time.

really, your thinking too much about it. its a simple thing that all guys have; leg hair. i wear shorts nearly year round, even in the snow, and no one every comments on my leg hair, just that i always wear shorts. dont be afriad about girls thinking its gross, b/c they really dont care. if they hate leg hair so much that just looking at it freaks them out, then you dont wanna be around a crazy person like that. all men eventually have leg hair, some more than others. your fine. just wear shorts whenever you want. dont be afraid of what others thing about what you wear. im in high school, and for guys, what you wear doesnt matter that much. just weat whatever is comfy for you. girls wont care.

On your scale of hair Im about a 4 or 5. No one cares I think. Its just natural to have hair. Girls would have hair like guys if they didn't shave.

My legs are for sure a 10, and I wear shorts. Yes I get comments but they're rarely bad, sometimes other guys are jealous and sometimes it's merely observational. But if girls generally haven't expressed disgust at MY legs, they definitely won't at yours.

Honestly, whos gonna comment on them? I highly doubt anyone will say a thing, there are guys who are hairier(is that a word? lol) than you, and I doubt people say anything to them, its just one of those things guys live with. If you get any comments they could just be a compliment, or if anything the person will be joking, don't stress over it.

Idk, I get quite a lot of comments about my legs, and other things such as my arms. Like I said in my previous post they're not always negative but they're still comments. They used to make me feel really self conscious but for the most part I've gotten over it. The best thing I can say is embrace the comments and think of them as compliments most of the time, because that's what they usually are.

EDIT: I take some of that back. Some girls today said "you're such a fucking gorilla, you're so hairy, that shit is gross" but that's rare in comparison.
