im just wondering how many of you do full range sit ups? like from the floor and the sit up all the way. my physical therapist said those are bad to do because it is really bad for your lower back. he said crunches do the same thing and dont put stress on your back.

your physical therapist is right, in that sit ups do put unnecessary strain on your back. However, crunches are just as inefficient.

I find these to be pretty good, as well as planks, spiderman pushups, leg lifts, etc.
