if you want to get toned, do more reps but less weight on the bench press. if you want more muscle then do more weight and less reps. keep doing the push ups and start drinking a protein shake.

k protein is not scientifically proven to actually build bigger muscles, only item proven to work is creatine.

chest there is honestly just like ur pectoral major that ur worrying about, go huge weight that u can only lift about 6-8 times for 3 sets, then do incline flyes for about 8-10 reps for 3 sets. bout all u can do. everything takes time ur not gonna just obtain a massive chest in a short amount of time.

Try doing chest flies (flys? Neither sounds right). More weight, fewer reps.

Protein is the only way to build bigger muscles you can take as much creatine as you want, without protein muscles can not possibly grow, also there are many things scientifically proven to build muscle, what about anabolic steroids?

Wtf? Bro-science at it's best.

Dude protein isnt meant to directly build bigger muscles..protein recovers your muscle as a result of putting strain on it in the gym, and the REPAIR process it what makes it grow because of the protein..
Creatine adds fluid to your muscles and should only be used if you are lifting seriously and willing to drink a lot of water as well as piss 500x a day. If not used right it is wasted.

OP, best way to build a bigger chest is to do 3-4 sets of 6-10 reps of anything you can do..ultimately bench press is the best compound exercise for chest, and to get a FULL chest you will also need to be doing incline exercises that target your upper chest. Try doing 1 flat and 3 incline exercises to primarily focus on the upper as that is what gives the full chest look.

At home..if you have dumbells do incline and flat flies, chest press (flat and incline) and keep doing your push ups. Good luck.

Doing bench press and push up is not enough. The way to approach your workout is to increase the intensity gradually and safely. Increase the load of your lift and reduce the reps. If you are benching 100lbs, next time try to push to 110 or 115 and do fewer reps. By doing so, it can create a training effect as you are placing stress on your body. But remember, the most important thing is what you do OUTSIDE of the weight room that counts :)

He's right. Protein just builds the muscle, it doesn't make them bigger.

Once a week isn't going to cut it. You need at least 5 days a week with other chest workouts (push ups, butterflies, etc.) to really build up muscle/get toned.

Nope, that's not right, after an intense workout of any kind, you need at least a full days rest. Pushups barely do anything after a while.
