Does anyone think there is a difference between loving someone and being in love with them? I think there is a huge difference. I think being in love goes far deeper into the human emotion than just loving someone.

I hate the term "in love". It's just adding a word to such a powerful thing. Yet the true form of love cannot be described in words...

Big difference between the two, like you can love as many things as you want, but can only be IN love with that 1 special person, words cant really describe how much you love that one person but by being IN love with them, you know its more then just loving something

I love people who I'm definitely not IN love with. This question is kind of (no offense) pointless because love can be platonic and familial while being IN love only ever means romantic love...

I don't think being in love with someone as oppose to loving them means your feelings are necessarily deeper there are many facets to the emotion of love and I think it's wrong to classify one as deeper than the other, I don't have deeper feelings for who I love romantically I just have a different type of love than the love for my friends.

saying that you're in love is not trying to put love into words all that it is doing is clarifying the type of love which is meant.

So yes I agree that there's a difference between being in love and loving someone but then again there is also a difference between loving your friend and loving your parents. There's a difference between any type of love.
