Maybe it's just me, but when I first started getting pubic hair I didn't find it to really be itchy, so I have a hard time thinking that is the reason for the itch. Is there any redness? Bumps? It could be jock itch, which is caused by a fungus. If you notice any redness and rash-like patches please speak to your doctor about it. Jock itch isn't dangerous or anything, but it's a nuisance and you can spread it around, not only to other people but on your body too. It's fairly easy to get rid of, you just need some anti-fungal soap and some Lotriman Ultra.

Thankfully I didn't have this happen to me when I grew my pubes. Or at least not to this degree.
