So I don't personally know of too many guys that cut so first who here cuts and secondly do you feel it isn't manly and are ashamed of it?

First of all...
cutting≠self harm.
I have only ever cut once in my life. I have been self harming for years though. I have carved. I do not find it manly, but I don't find it feminine, either. It's just something that happens to some people. Of all the people I do know at my school, I am the only guy. I am a little ashamed of it, but it's in the past, well, mostly it is. But, all I can do is pick my life up and move on, but sometimes it isn't just that easy.
Hope this helped you figure this out, bud.

cutting is self harming, but self harming is not necessarily cutting. there are so many different ways to self harm. sorry if i made that unclear.

cutting is more common among girls. sometimes I feel like I'm always creating drama when I cut because I can't shrug things off. Why don't as many guys cut? Are girls just more emotional?

Well I'll jump in here and say as a guy cutting is somthing I am not proud of but nor ashamed of either. Now I always thought that cutting myself meant I was strong. Being able to keep what I was feeling at bay instead of being over dramatic made me feel like I was in control. Now that I've been cutting for a while I realize that I was wrong in my thinking but now it's a little to late.

If i'm honest, I feel embarrassed and ashamed about it. At first I had no idea about girls or guys cutting. So I only found out it was feminine until after I started. When I read an article on it. Doesn't matter anyway, I really couldn't feel any less 'manly' then I do now.

I used to cut. It doesn't make me feel less manly, but I am ashamed about it nonetheless.

I'm a guy that cuts and I don't feel ashamed of it. I never let anyone see my scars (even my friends that know about it), but that's because I don't want someone pretending to understand or giving their fake sympathy.

Some pages I read say that they cant get out emoition out as well as males do. Or that we get angrier easier than girls do. And I do cut am not proud of it at all.

Im another Guy who cuts. I'm the only guy I know. I only know of two others who are both girls. One being my best friend. I sort of feel feminine but I really don't care. I do also wonder if its more popular in the US than here in the UK

Im a guy and i cut :) i dont know why though tbh yehhh i have a shit life but honestly i think its just because i like the scars, i like the feeling of pain just because it gives me feeling.
I spend every waking moment when im with friends or family being the "Bigman" the shoulder to cry on to keep everything together in one peice.
But when im alone i let my emotional pain out through phsyical pain

I attempted to cut and have attempted so several times, but I didn't do it so much that it had severe scabbing or bled profusely. I'm not ashamed of it, but I'm not really fond of those memories either.
