I was just wondering how may times do you have to shave until you start getting real facial hair? I'm a pretty hairy guy and I do grow a lot of hair on my face but not stubble if you know what I mean. I wanna grow a goatee but I'm not sure if I have the right facial hair for that.

Thanks.

Shaving doesn't make hair any more like stubble (so Ive read)
When your body decides to grow hair like stubble then it will.. Just takes time

I started getting a mini black haired mustache at 13 which was kinda obvious so I shave it around once a month.

I am not a very hairy guy. I just have it in the general spots (pubes, arm pits, legs, upper lip, ect..). I usually have to shave once or twice a week. But when I was grwoing it I didn't shave it. It just came in naturally to the point where I had to shave.

It's not that I don't have facial hair because I have a lot but on my mustache especially it seems more like hair than facial hair :P I know it sounds stupid but I can't really explain

Im not so hairy, but i can grow a goatee. Shaving doesnt make you facial hair grow faster or darker. Mostly depends on your genetics

Shaving just makes my hair more rough dunno if it's the same for anyone else?

I think I've got some pretty good genes when it comes to hair as I tend to grow a lot of hair on my body/face so it's just a matter of waiting until it becomes proper facial hair

shaving it doesnt make your body grow more of it. time is the only thing that will help. and if you have peach fuzz, shave it cause it looks really bad.

Like everyone else said, shaving it doesn't make it grow back more. It wasn't until I was about 17 when i had full facial hair.

my dad told me he didnt shave until he was 17 so I probably won't either

Yeah, shaving more doesn't help at all. You just have to wait. Just continue to shave and eventually it will become stubble.

I'm 19 and I still can't grow a proper beard, as it still doesn't grow everywhere. lol But I am able to gross a goatee, which is what I have 98% of the time.
