Hi i am just wondering what happens during your first gynecoligist exam my mom is taking me in a few weeks to my first womens exam so that I can be put on birth control I am wondering what the exam is going to consist of. I am very nervous and kinda :whoops: about going. The reason why I am going on birth control is that my periods have been very heavy and I want to control my periods. should i shave down there?

What they do depends a lot on your age and sexual history you fill outt before the exam. your not going to get the same exam by a gyno if your 13 and never had sex trhan you would by someone thats 16 or 17 and sexual active. Most doctors will explain to you what an exam consist of before hand if you ask
