No i'm kidding, but this is what you should do. Don't beat around the bush, don't imply anything that would suggest that actually you aren't asking her out. Go up to her, preferably when she's not with friends, and just go 'hey I really like, how about we go out sometime/would you like to go out with me?', least this way if she's on her own you'll actually get an honest answer.
