View Full Version : So I've Come to Terms.....I'm gay

:/ So as I posted a little while back, I tried going straight for the third time. This time was an epic failure to say the least......trying to become attracted something/people your not attracted to is impossible. I have to face it, vaginas gross me out and the longer I look at one the more I feel like throwing up. In my attempt to go straight I nearly asked the girl who liked me to have sex, just so I could "convince" myself I was straight. I'm so glad I came to my senses because I'm not the kinda person to break someone else's heart like that, I could only imagine how she'd feel if we went through with my idea and then she finds out she was being used :/ I wouldnt be able to live with myself. I met with a friend who's 21, and was shocked to find out she was gay :) we exchanged stories and her's was almost identical to mine, feeling something's wrong with you for liking the same gender, then trying to force yourself to like the opposite sex and being miserable in the process, then feeling you have to act all different because your gay. Neither me nor her come off as gay, but we in fact both are. Some gay guy's are femme, but I'm don't have to be, because thats not who I am, yet I'm still gay :) I'm glad to of finally found myself but sorry for the long post guys!

I am so happy that you came to terms. It takes a lot to realize this. (: Talk to me if you ever want to.

Chris:

First of all, I've always thought that your posts here are some of the most well worded and carefully thought out ones on all of VT. I must say that I really admire you for being honest with yourself and not creating what could be considered collateral damage to other people with what you admit to was a gesture or attempt at being something you're not. Being honest with yourself is definitely an admirable quality.

Bringing this out from the dark, but I just recently came to terms like this. I was browsing and chanced upon this.

Yeah and I'm happy because towards the end of school I found out someone I know is bi/gay. So we got to talking now we've hung out a couple times already this summer and we told each other we had feelings for each other  The second day we hung out we kissed twice :P We aren't dating yet since I'm trying to take it slow but every day even though we may not see each other, we like each other more. I'm trying to wait till I know him a bit better till I ask him out, because I dont wanna start a relationship with someone who I dont know well, but I'm loving where its heading! :D

I remember when I came out to one of my friends, he was openly gay so it was a great starting point. He told me "Us gays are a proud people and stand united!". whenever I doubt myself I think about those words.
