I was reading the wiki on how to make my own server. I have know idea what they mean after they say install the minecraft server client from the site. I have that up, but I have no idea how to actually get in.

Could someone please dumb it down for me?

Direct connect to 0.0.0.0 after the server is running.

If you've launched the server client on your pc, assuming that it's the standard installer I used to use, then you just need to click on multiplayer and either enter your own IP or enter 'localhost'. If none of that works then you might be better off using Bukkit, this automatic installer (http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/craftbukkit-auto-installer-beginners-edition-minecraft-1-2-5.26555/) is particularly useful as you literally just download and launch.

Thanks. Both localhost and 0.0.0.0 work, and the client knows I'm in.

About Bukkit, do I have to pay for the host anytime or is there something simple with it that I can do for free?
