Ok so I'm going to be a freshman in high school next year and I need to get my schedule organized. Right now I am taking no honors courses but I think I want to take one or two honors (not math) I would take honors english but I didn't get placed into it and I didn't override them.
My Tentative Classes
-Orchestra
-Spanish II
-Geometry
-Biology
-Freshmen Lit.
-Geography
-PE (one semester)
-Health (one semester)
I was thinking about maybe taking World history honors instead of geography. and Honors biology.
I'm not sure what to do and I really need to get this figured out. Opinions?

If you can handle the extra work, then I would say go for it. Just be prepared for a more accelerated class with a bit more work and the teacher expecting more.

Damn you're only a freshman? :P
Defs go for World History. If you're interested in that stuff, you'll love it!
I'm surprised Geometry counts as a subject here and you can even pick Orchestra. I guess high schools in America are run a little different than what I'm accustomed to :P

Well I'm taking Algebra I right now, so the next type of math that I take is geometry. I think I'm going to take World history so as a sophomore i can take AP European History. Do you think I can handle all of that?

Well, I definitely think that you should take Honors World History if you want to be prepared to take an AP course. I'd suggest maybe also taking at least one other Honors course like maybe Honors Biology. These classes would definitely prepare you a little more for an AP course.
I'm curious though, don't you have to take a civics course? I thought all US students are required to take one...I maybe wrong though. If you are required, when will you fit that in? I took my civics and economics course freshman year.

Is biology hard? I mean if it is an easy A then I will take honors but if I'm going to struggle with it then I think I should just take regular.
I'm guessing civics is like government, my school offers government for seniors only. I think it is a semester course.

It's different for every school and I don't know what yours is like.

I took Bio my freshman year and it was easy, I eventually took AP bio last year and that was a cake walk for me. Once again, it's probably because of your teacher, I ended up getting a 4 on the AP test. I HATE sciences, yet they're always my best subject, natural talent I guess...

Take as many AP classes as you can! Colleges look for people who push themselves and that's a good start!

We're not deciding for you because ultimately, it's your decision. If you think that you can work harder in your classes, then go for it! I think maybe you should talk with your school counselor about these things because that's what I did and they helped me. Ask her about these classes and what kind of work is involved in them. Counselor's love students that actually care about their academics (because you'd be surprised at some that aren't) and I'm sure they will work with you. Just remember, it's up to you!

Bio was pretty easy, but Geometry is not easy at all, I took it...well tried to take it last year, and I failed it badly, I even dropped a lower level, the teacher was horrible too, so be prepared for a challenge if Math isn't a strong point.

I hated Bio, it was so hard. Geometry for me was easy. but then again, I'm a bit stronger in math and science

Hey, I know how you feel. I'll be a freshman next year as well.
I already have my schedule:
-Yearlong Boy's Choir
-Honors History
-Honors Geometry
-Honors Physical Science II (I'm assuming I'll fail the test to get into Honors Biology in 2 days :P)
-Honors English
-Creative Writing (2 Semesters)
-Journalism (2 Semesters)
-Honors French II
If you feel you can handle it, go for it. Sometimes it's good to push yourself.
