I was just wondering: What are your guys' opinions on older people dating younger people. I mean in like a 16 year old dating a 13- year old type range. Random thought.

Two year rule.
Also 16 and 13 ones legal one isn't..
Its up to each individual couple really, I just wouldn't be comfortable if one of my friends started dating a 13 year old or for that matter a 14 year old but its up to the two parties involved :)

you don't choose who you think you like romanticly, but if I was the older person in a situation like this I would say to the younger that I wanted to wait till they were mature enough.

i dont know, im kinda against it.
But what about 16-19 year old with a 25-30ish year old. I see a lot more of those.

I think when both are under 18 that more than two years is pretty inappropriate. There is a massive maturity gap there, physically and mentally.

I am a 17 year old dating a 19 year old and it's okay (because he got held back a grade) but we had a lot of discussions with our parents about "Are your parents okay with my son dating you?" and "You have to wait till you're 18 to have sex, at least!" and stuff like that. :I
I'm fine with this though, sometimes. Depends on the person, really.

Ummm it really depends on the maturity level of the two parties involved. Now, if it's a matter of legality then one should either wait for the other or move on. I think age similarity allows a comfort in the relationship rather than trying to be something your not by either trying to live up to your significant other's age or downplay your age and/or physical and mental maturity. Although I don't agree with it, I'm not going to try and alter your or anyone else's opinion on the matter.

16 to 13 is too much of an age gap at that level, one's just coming into puberty and obviously has alot of maturing to do mentally and physically. Sure a 25 year old can date a 28 year old but then you are more at the same level. Not to mention the legality surrounding a 16 and 13 year old.

I think it's up to the individuals involved to a certain extent. Here, if someone who's 18 or over 18 goes out with someone younger, he or she can get in trouble with the law if it's reported.
Personally, I try to go for someone my age or maybe 1-3 years older.
