Not too sure honestly... maybe a Chevy Cruze? They seem pretty decent and reliable.

Ya haha those are a little too expensive for a high school student. i was thinking more a 2000 chevy silverado vs. like a 2000 bmw 325i. what do you think? any experience with either? my dream truck would be a 1999-2003 ford f-250 diesel, but that aint happening lol.

Cruze? Hell no!
I'd recommend the Skoda Superb, but I don't think they sell them here. Nor is Australia's Holden Caprice (I think the cops have some though!)

Where you will find pretty good legroom is in the new Civic & Accord. Over here, you will be able to find a >2007 Dodge Charger about $10k. They're nice too if gas mileage doesn't bother you too much.

European cars aren't always too spacious especially in the smaller segments like the 3-series. You'll probably find it pretty cramped.

Holden Caprice's are too expensive to run. Even the 3.6l isn't overly cheap to run.

I have a dodge stratus (2004), it has a decent amount of leg room, got it for 5 grand, it is American made obv. I will only by American made cars as their parts are easier to come by, thus they are cheaper.

BMW parts as far as I know are REALLY expensive and they are a lot to repair.

You could also try the Chevy Impala (any year) they are large. Another car my family owns is the Ford Explorer, wicked reliable, though a gas guzzler. My grandma doesn't know how to drive so she dropped the transmission... that is the only repair it has ever needed. and it's a 1999.

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado. There are pics of it on my profile.

You can easily find them cheap, well the older ones obviously. Some might need a little work though. The problem I seem to have with mine though is the gas. It eats it like there's no tomorrow. But I live in a rural area, so you have to travel kinda far to get anywhere, and I work on a ranch, so I do a lot of hauling around with it.

But I've never really had a problem with my Silverado, except of course the gas haha.

They aren't too bad. I drove one back in New Zealand, but in a Commodore (like a Pontiac G8 import if I'm not wrong). Just briefly around town, averaged about 29mpg. Mind you, if you throw it around and get everything out of it, any V6 will sweep through gas.

Silverados are nice! As anti-Toyota as I am I love the sound (and looks) of the Tundra. I was really keen to get an F-150 though.

I have a 99 F150 ext cab that has TONS of legroom. We got it with 67,000k miles, Lariat SCab w/ the 5.4 and Towing Package for 10K 2 years ago. Has 96k on it now, runs like a fucking champ, and I've tuned/lifted/modded it a good amount. IMO if you want legroom, a truck/suv is the way to go. The only bad part is gas mileage, I get like 14.5 combined.

I'm on my phone so uploading photos isn't working, I'll put some up tonight when I can use my computer. This weekend or next I'm putting on 285/70/17s with new rims, probably machined 5 spokes or something like that. The truck is gold/blue.

its fine dont worry about it. since it isnt easy for you dont stress. i can imagine it. how tall are you?

IAMWILL

Well I'm only 5'9", BUT my dad is 6'1" and he has plenty of legroom, plus I've had friends in my car that are 6'3"-6'5" and they have plenty of legroom in the front, the back seats is another story since its an ext cab, so if you drive with friends a lot I'd go with a Supercrew. I love my truck though, its absurdly comfortable.

my frinds are all short so the ext cab would work just fine. you have the leather or cloth interior? you have any custom exhaust or is it stock?

IAMWILL

Full leather interior, I've got a Flowmaster super 44 with 3" midpipe running from y-pipe back and out. Gotta throw a tip on soon. Plus I have a K&n intake. Its about as loud as it can get without removing the cats.

I have friends that have both a civic and a cruze (2012) and I've have more than enough legroom while driving (I'm 6'2") I have plenty of legroom, but I have an SUV... Oh and if you really want a BMW, my dads car has amazing legroom, but its a 2011 535xi. However they're extremely expensive to fix, ours is a corporate car so they pay for everything for it and they it's transferred to us after four years, but we're just gonna sell it.

What about a b16 (2007+) Nissan Sentra? They have great legroom (My dad's pretty short so...) I read reviews that taller people shouldn't have an issue fitting in comfort. It rides reeeaaaaaallllly nice, great gas mileage and they're reliable if you take care of it. My dad bought one used and it's on its second engine because he didn't take care of it and he bought it from a shady dealership.

Only downside is the CVT. Only the 2.0 and the SE-R Spec V have manual transmissions.

Oh look! I did some searching for you! These are 2.0S models:

And a 2.0S top speed video if you really wanted performance out of it (psh lol):

Ya I'm not going to buy a Japanese car but thanks for the suggestion. And Greg what kind of suv do you have?

A used Ford Crown Vic would fit the requirements quite nicely.
