Water polo

Any water polo players here? What position(s) do you play? And if you don't, what are your thoughts about it?

I play center back/hole defense and link/central mid... Sometimes my coach puts me in at wing but I am to slow to keep up with the opposition wing sometimes :P
I am learning to play center forward, but I am not very good at it... yet :)

Can you tell me what water polo is? Sounds like Marco Polo.

Haha :) water polo has just about one thing in common with Marco Polo :P
It is like a combination of handball, soccer and rugby inside a pool :)
It is played in a pool that is generally 30m long and roughly 25m wide and is a team sport with 7 people per side. The aim of the game is to score a goal through the goals (just like in soccer) and it is a very rough game (especially since the ref cannot see what happens under water)
The current world champions are Serbia and other prominent figures in international polo are Hungary, Croatia, America, Italy and Spain.
You are not allowed to touch the ball with two hands and it relies on a lot of leg strength, since the pool is too deep to stand in.
That is roughly the main outline of the game :) try it sometime if you get the chance! It is an amazing game!
