For gym we have to shower at school, i dont mind showering around other guys but it is weird to look at their junk and compare? i find myself doing that sometimes and its kind of a turn on. im not gay, ive had girlfriends and sex before, just wondering if its like this for anyone else too?

We have showers in my high school but nobody uses them. I had a similar experience when I used to be on a swim team though, no separate shower stalls so everyone saw everything. Most of us got hard (such as me >.<) and compared but that was all. It's totally normal, you're in a situation where you're seeing genitals and hormones are raging since we're still growing up. It's bound to happen. Even if you're straight its going to happen, its a hormonal thing and doesn't necessarily mean you're bi/gay.

I've seen guys that I know for sure are straight, still look at my forbidden area in the shower. It doesn't really mean anything though.

I try to maintain eye contact with other boys in the shower, especially if I am talking to someone. Very little chance of an unwanted boner that way.

At my school almost everyone showers after PE and all the guys on my soccer and baseball teams shower after practice. Everyone checks each other out, not too obviously but they do, its natural to what to know the competition!

We don't shower at our school except for the swimming unit, but we shower in swimsuits. We still change out in the open, but guys aren't really comparing. I have seen some penises, and I saw my friend's bare ass and (clothed, but obvious) boner once.
