I don't no whether to tell my friend about my self harm, I've known her for 8 years and she's one of my best friends but I'm worried to many people at school now know about my cutting. 3 of my friends do, my form tutor, my mentor, my behavioural manager and quite a few of my teachers. I don't want it getting out so I'm worried the more people who know the more chance it will get out! Should I tell her or not!? Help!!:L

Because shes one of my best friends and i'd hate her to find out from someone else and shes always been there for me and i feel like she deserves to know.

Erm I still don't see why you think its necessary you tell her, if that many people know and she's that close to you she can probably guess I know many of my friends did. Only tell her if you want to not because you think owe it to her because as I said before if she's annoyed she didn't know first she's a shit friend.

I'm saying, if your BEST FRIEND of 8 years had been cutting herself so much that the entire school knew except for you... you would feel like a crappy friend. Don't tell me it wouldn't be a big deal, because I know that anyone with a heart would feel bad they couldn't notice the signs, and would feel even worse that their best friend didn't trust them with that info.

I say to the OP, if you would like to talk to your best friend about this; go ahead. It's always very helpful to have someone you can trust rather than a bunch of random people poking fun at you. I'm not sure if FullyAlive comprehends your intentions.
